As a student I get the opportunity to interact with professionals, learn about the industry, and get encouragement to keep developing my design skills. All of these I can see continuing to happen well into my career as an AIGA member. I see plenty of designers that have never even heard of or considered joining AIGA that have careers that seem to be dead, or just going nowhere. The AIGA members on the other hand seem to always be growing.
