Through AIGA Design Jobs, I interviewed with a legendary, iconic designer in New York. (I’m not saying who because I don’t want to be a namedropper.) He was an indirect influence on my career, but I would not likely have the kind of design career I would like if not for his trailblazing influence. It was an honor to talk to him, one-on-one, and get some valuable advice and encouragement, in this (probably) once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Although I did not get the position with him, when I got home, I received an e-mail from a major magazine asking about freelance work, and they also found me through AIGA Design Jobs. So AIGA Design Jobs is great for national exposure to influential people.
